Fascinated and passionate about the diversity of cultures and environments that exist in the world, Alexis has spent much of her life dedicated to travel and intercultural exchange. Having recently graduated from California Institute of Integral Studies with a degree in Interdisciplinary studies and social science, she is excited to be an intern with Pachamama and laying the foundation for a new career in the nonprofit sector working with international grass-roots movements for social change. She is most passionate about Indigenous rights movements and the way they are inextricably linked with environmental and economic justice issues. Alexis enjoys traveling in remote areas, art and photography, writing, yoga, and swimming in the sea.
